In Linear, you can track expiring commissions from the Front page under the Ending commissions tab. In addition, the system sends an email reminder to the listing agent 14, 7, and 2 days before the commission expires.
In Linear, you can create a continuation agreement when the original commission agreement has less than one month of validity left. The continuation agreement can be found under the Commission & KYC tab.
If the button is not visible, it means that the commission still has more than one month of validity left, or the commission is set to renew automatically.
Tip: You can track expiring commissions from the system’s Front page under the Ending commissions tab.
When creating a continuation agreement, the original agreement’s terms remain valid by default. Naturally, the continuation agreement defines a new validity period for the commission, which may differ from the original (until further notice, continuous, fixed-term). It’s also a good idea to check the price. Any updated sale price will automatically be applied to the listing details (property description) once all parties have signed the continuation agreement.
A version addressed to the property manager is also generated from the continuation agreement, along with a cancellation form if door-to-door selling is selected.
Creating a new commission agreement instead of a continuation agreement
If you want to extend the commission agreement but need to make more extensive changes to its details and/or terms, we recommend creating a new commission agreement for the listing. To do this, click Cancel and return to start, which allows you to discard the current agreement.
After confirming, the system takes you back to the first step of the commission agreement, where you can select the agreement template and signing method. The agreement retains the details and terms you have already filled in, so you do not need to start from scratch. However, make sure to update all essential details (e.g., validity period) before marking the new commission agreement as complete and proceeding to the signing phase.
NOTE: When you cancel the current commission agreement, any existing purchase offers will also be canceled. Therefore, make sure in advance that there are no ongoing negotiations between the buyer and seller before canceling. Otherwise, the offers must be recreated and signed again.
