With Linear’s inspection feature, an agency can ensure that properties, listings and assignments comply with the agency’s own quality standards and operating principles before they are published, closed, or marked as completed.
Once the inspection feature has been enabled, all of the company’s sales and rental assignments require an inspection. The system requires an inspection at the following stages:
- Before publishing – the inspection is initiated by the user who created the property on the Listings and brochures tab.
- Before closing the deal – the inspection is available on the Transaction tab. Does not apply to rental agreements.
- Before completing the property – the inspection function is available on the Transaction or Tenants tab, depending on the property type.
Enabling inspections
The company’s inspection feature can be enabled by a user who has the Editing company's information permission. Enable the feature as follows:
- Go to Company settings.
- Select Property inspection and click Edit.
- Enable Inspection is required for properties.
- Add the desired users as inspectors.
- Optional setting: In the settings, you can choose that an inspector’s own properties do not require inspection.
- Save and confirm the settings at the bottom of the page.
A company can have one or more inspectors. All users selected as inspectors can inspect any property in the company.
Please note that inspectors should have the Managing company's listings permission. Without this permission, an inspector cannot open or inspect properties created by other users.
