With Linear’s inspection feature, a brokerage can ensure that properties, listings, and assignments meet the company’s own quality standards and operating principles before they are published, sold, or closed.
Once the inspection feature is enabled, all of the company’s sales and rental assignments require an inspection. The system requires an inspection at the following stages:
- Before publication – The inspection is activated by the creator of the property on the Advertisements & leaflets tab.
- Before completing the sale – The inspection can be found on the Trading tab. Does not apply to rental agreements.
- Before closing the property – The inspection function is located on either the Trading or Tenants tab, depending on the property type.
Enabling inspections
The company’s inspection feature can be enabled by a user with Editing company's information permissions. To enable the feature:
- Go to Company settings.
- Select Property inspection and click Edit.
- Enable the option Inspection is required for properties.
- Add the users you want to assign as inspectors.
- Additional setting: You can choose to exempt an inspector’s own properties from requiring inspection.
- Save and confirm the settings at the bottom of the screen.
Your company may have one or multiple inspectors. All assigned inspectors can inspect any property within the company.
Please note that inspectors should have Managing company's listings permissions. Without this permission, an inspector cannot open or inspect properties created by other users.
