Especially when logging in to Linear for the first time, it’s a good idea to check that your personal contact details are correct and up to date. You can review and, if needed, edit your information in your user settings either by clicking the Settings button on the Home page, or by clicking your profile picture (or initials if no picture is set) in the top right corner and selecting User settings.
If you make any changes, please remember to always Save your information afterwards.
Note: The ability to edit your own settings may be restricted based on user permissions. If something needs to be updated but you are unable to change it yourself, please ask your supervisor for help.
User settings are divided into several tabs:
Profile settings
In the Profile tab, we recommend checking that at least the following details are correct, as the system uses them in various marketing materials such as brochures:
- Profile picture
- Name
- Email address
- Work phone number
- Professional title (e.g. LKV, Sales Representative, CEO)
Other information – such as your introduction text, torso and hero images, and social media links – will appear on your agency’s website only if the website has an API integration with Linear. If you are interested in this, you can contact our customer support. Otherwise, you may leave these fields empty.
Note: In Profile settings, the Languages field is required. If saving your information fails, please check that you have at least Finland added to this field.
Security settings
In the Security tab, you can change the password you use to log in to Linear whenever needed.
Please note that two-factor authentication cannot be disabled. The system processes a lot of sensitive information, so two-factor authentication provides valuable security for the agent.
General settings
In the General tab, you could change the language used in Linear and your electronic authentication country, which is used for Signicat signatures. However, in most cases there should be no need to change either.
The Languages field allows you to select multiple languages. When you add multiple languages in your user settings, you can create, for example, assignment agreements, purchase offers, and deeds of sale in those languages. You can also fill in listing information in the selected languages and create brochures accordingly.
Billing settings
In the Billing tab, you can add your personal billing details. This is useful, for example, if the agent operates with their own business name while working for an agency and invoices, for instance, commissions directly from the client.
Own marketing settings
In the Own marketing tab, you can easily create a business card that you can send to print.
The business card automatically fetches your company’s logo, company name, and brand colors from the company settings, as well as your phone number and email address from your profile settings. By default, your profile picture is printed on the card, but you can upload another image and crop it as needed.
