Unfortunately, a commission does not always lead to a sale or finding a tenant. In situations where the commission ends and the client does not wish to make a follow-up commission, we recommend marking the listing status as Commission finished.
The client may also request to terminate the commission earlier (e.g., with a cancellation form). In this case, the listing status can be marked as Commission terminated.
NOTE: If the commission is cancelled and this leads to the cancellation of an accepted purchase offer, the Linear system does not automatically send a message to the parties involved about the rejected offer.
The listing status can be updated manually from the listing card's Summary tab by clicking on the current status of the listing and selecting the appropriate option. Updating the status to Commission finished or Commission terminated also hides the listing from publishing platforms.
NOTE: The system does not automatically update the listing status to Commission finished even if the commission expires. This is because if a follow-up commission was made outside the system and it has not yet been archived to Linear, the listing would not disappear from publishing platforms.
