Yes - Linear offers the possibility to utilize a housing cooperative database, and Linear already includes about 20,000 housing cooperatives, which is well over a fifth of all housing cooperatives in Finland, and the number is constantly growing.
The decision to implement this feature is up to each brokerage firm. The brokerage firm's supervisor can enable the housing cooperative database from the company's settings. After this, all agents of that brokerage will see all the housing cooperatives included in the database.
Note: When enabling the housing cooperative database, remember to also click Save at the bottom right corner. The housing cooperative database will be available the next day (as the database and its settings are updated once a night).
The housing cooperative database is shared among all Linear users who have it enabled, so you can benefit from the information of other housing cooperatives when you share yours. The database only maintains information that is already publicly available (e.g., construction and surface materials, number and total area of residential units, etc.), so no sensitive information, such as customer data, is stored in the housing cooperative database.
You can search for housing cooperative information in the database by the cooperative's name, its address, or business ID:
If the housing cooperative is found in the database, clicking on it will open a screen for Importing Information:
- Housing cooperative database value shows the information that was last saved to the database for the field visible on the left side.
- The information you filled for the item shows the information you might have already filled in for the description attachment (this is empty if you have not previously saved any value for the field).
- With a "Check" mark (✔️), you can choose whether you want the Housing cooperative database value to be copied to the description attachment. For example, if you notice that the value in the housing cooperative database is outdated, you can uncheck the mark so it does not overwrite any value/information you previously recorded on the description attachment.
- Updated column shows when the Housing cooperative database value was last updated.
- By clicking Copy to the description attachment, you can transfer the "checked" housing cooperative database values to the information in the description attachment.
Please note that you cannot edit the values of the housing cooperative database or the information you filled for the item during the import process. However, after copying the information to the description attachment, you can modify and update the information on the description attachment / item details if necessary. Always be careful and thoroughly check the information obtained from the housing cooperative database before publishing the item!
It is also important to know when/how the housing cooperative database is updated and when it can be used:
- The housing cooperative database is updated once a night
- The item must be in the status: Sold, For Sale, or Reserved, for the housing cooperative to be transferred to the database
- The housing cooperative's business ID and address details must be filled in on the description attachment
- Currently, only Apartments and Holiday Homes are supported among the types of items
- The housing cooperative database is not yet supported for rental items
