Creating a Search Alert
In Linear, you can create a new Search Alert for a client directly from the client card by selecting Create Search Alert.
Defining the search criteria is flexible: not all fields are mandatory. You can leave out any criteria that are not relevant to the client. However, note that at least one criterion must be set before the Search Alert can be saved.
When creating a Search Alert, you can define the following details:
- Client interest: searching for sales or rental listings (Buyer potential or Rental potential)
- Country in which the client is searching.
- Location: by city, municipality, district, and/or postal code.
- Type of listing: Apartment or Property
- Building type: Newly constructed or Older property
- Price range: you can set a minimum price, maximum price, or both.
- Living area: you can set a minimum size, maximum size, or both.
- Number of rooms.
- Specific property type. For example, an apartment building unit or a detached house.
- Year of construction.
- Condition rating.
- Heating system.
- Plot ownership.
- Special features:
- Balcony
- Sauna
- Elevator
- Waterfront
The client’s search criteria may look for example like this:
Once you’ve set the client’s criteria, you can save the Search Alert by clicking Confirm in the bottom-right corner.
Editing a Search Alert

Note: Remember to click Confirm after modifying the Search Alert or its criteria to save your changes.
