On a listing card in Linear, you can view Oikotie publication statistics on the Statistics tab. However, to see the statistics in Linear, the integration must be activated. This requires the agency to generate an Oikotie API key and add it to Linear under Company settings.
Note: For Linear to fetch and display publication statistics, the API key must be generated under the same Oikotie account that the agency uses to publish listings.
Generating an Oikotie API key
The company’s main user (admin) can generate an API key in Oikotie:
- Log in to Oikotie and click My page in the top-right corner.
- From My page, go to the Company details page.
- On the company details page, open the API tab.
- Enter the Contact person’s email for the API key and click Create key.
After this, the generated API key will appear at the bottom of the page (below the Create key button).
Note: Keep the generated API key secret, and do not share it via unsecured channels so it doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.
Adding the API key to Linear
After generating the API key in Oikotie, you can copy it and add it to Linear:
- In Linear, click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Company settings.
- Open the Integrations tab and scroll down to the Oikotie section.
- Paste the API key you copied from Oikotie into the Oikotie API key field and click Save.
Removing the API key
It’s best not to keep API keys active if you don’t plan to use them going forward to fetch statistics and other data. You can deactivate the Oikotie API key by clicking the “-” button shown in the image below.
After that, in Linear’s company settings you can remove the API key by clearing the Oikotie API key field and clicking Save.
